As we head towards the end of the year, it seems like there’s even more pressure to get everything done. Stress finds its way into our work and home life, and with it our physical and mental health can be put on the backburner.

People frequently reference physical exercise as an antidote to stress, but our friends at Sloane & Sons have found another solution—and it’s right in front of you.

Gardening is a natural stress reliever.

On the infographic below they give us eight health benefits that occur when you garden. In 45 minutes you can get a full body work out, experience mindfulness, and get creative. And now that spring is here and the sun is out, it seems like the perfect time of year to give gardening a go.

Whether you have a yard or a porch, see what you can create, and note how your body feel during and after the exercise. It could be just what you need to curb that stress and manage your anxiety as we head towards the end of year hustle.
