How to get through grief

How to get through grief

September 8, 2023 By Jessica Morris

How to get through grief

Grief is a process – if we’ve  heard it once, we’ve heard it a thousand times. But when you’re in the midst of grief you realise the process is less of a straight line, and more a complicated combo of emotions. Anger, depression, denial…it’s rare that we will process things once and be done with it. The fact is that grief is unique for every individual, and how we experience this early on, a few months later and even years after the event are important.

In this infographic from Happify, they tackle myths about grief head on, and explore ways to take care of yourself through it. Take a look and see what tips you can take away. If nothing else, let it be a reminder that you’re not alone in your feelings. Grief is isolating and heart breaking, but the heaviness won’t last forever. Take care of yourself in the moments it is too much and reach out to people you trust.
