You need to see this free Mental Health Toolkit by To Write Love On Her Arms

Blog July 12

Going to therapy can be groundbreaking in your mental health journey, but how can we take care of our mental health the rest of the time? Non-profit To Write Love On Her Arms have just launched their free Mental Health Toolkit, and it is one of the best and most comprehensive tools we have seen online!

For background, To Write Love On Her Arms has existed as a non profit and charity for nearly two decades, and became well known through musicians, blogs and even a movie. What people may not know, is that they also provide a world wide database of support services for people who need crisis support. And if you’re in the USA, they even have a list of practitioners you can refer to.

The Free Mental Health Toolkit

Their new Mental Health Toolkit takes this support to another level, and has been funded with the support of sponsors including Brevard Prevention Coalition, Move Into Light and the State of Florida, Department of Children & Families. The toolkit actually gives you the information, content and strategies to get through tough movements.

It includes videos from licensed mental health counsellors, that will take you through moments of anxiety, depression and self harm. They have also included YouTube tutorials on grounding exercises, breath work and meditation.

If you want to understand your mental health better, then they also have more in depth information about specific mental health issues and practices – everything from self care to suicide prevention. There are even worksheets about feelings, creating a Crisis Plan, and grounding techniques.

If you are looking for encouragement between counselling appointments, or perhaps you’re curious about attending counselling, or have a family member you want to support, then we highly recommend To Write Love On Her Arm’s Mental Health Toolkit. Complete with personal stories, playlists and access to their free app (called ‘The Hopeful’), this is a gift.
