Self-care is difficult at the best of times, and on a bad day it’s even harder to take care of ourselves. Lots of people learn self-care to manage mental illness, stress or chronic illness, but we tend to forget that everyone has a level of mental and physical health that we each need to honour.
We created an easy checklist for you listing some of the steps you can take to practice self-care. If you’re having a bad day, feel tired, or something is just ‘off’, you can take this list out and see what you’re missing. After all, sometimes it’s the little things that can make everything worse, and once we take care of our hydration, hunger, fatigue or body, we will feel a whole lot better.
While this checklist isn’t a fail-safe plan for always feeling good, we hope it gives you some perspective and guidance on the days you do it tough. Take a look below.
